It was one of her least favorite subjects because she never seemed to fit into the standard mold. She wasn't good at spelling, or following grammar rules, and outlines made her head spin. For that reason, Sherri never imagined becoming an author. At the age of thirty, all of that changed. After getting frustrated with the direction a television show was taking two of its characters, Sherri decided to try her hand at writing an alternate ending, and give the characters their happily ever after. By the time the story finished, it was one of the top ten read stories on the site, and her readers were encouraging her to write more. Seven years later, Sherri is the author of seven full-length novels, and one short story. Writing has become a creative outlet for Sherri that allows her to explore a wide range of emotions, while having fun taking her characters through all the twists and turns she can create. She is most well known for her Finding Anna Series about a young woman rescued from being a sex slave by a wealthy Dominant. Sherri’s eighth novel, Crossing The Line, is scheduled to release September 4, 2014. ~~CONNECT WITH THE AUTHOR~~ Check Out Sherri’s Other Titles (Some With Lower Prices!)

AUTHOR BIOVictoria Zak lives in the sunshine state with her husband, two beautiful children, and three furry friends. Before having kids, Victoria spent fifteen years in the veterinary business and volunteered in pet rescue.“One of my most rewarding jobs was finding unwanted animals their forever homes.” A writing career was the last item listed on her bucket list, until she discovered that she wanted to put her stories on paper and breathe life into her characters. Her love for Scotland, curiosity of history, and passion for romance has inspired her to write her first book, Highland Burn.“Fourteenth century Scotland was a fascinating time in history. Not only was Scotland fighting for their freedom from the English king, their own people fought each other; clan vs clan. Though being a woman of the twenty-first century, I wouldn’t want to live in those unsettled times. But writing historical fiction paranormal romance allows me to escape into their world and breathe a fresh air of romance and magic into that era, which I love to do.”Victoria loves to hear from her readers. But Maggie La Croix’s Zombified conjures up an entirely different kind of undead raised by good old-fashioned Voodoo. These gorgeous walking corpses don’t eat brain, they don’t stagger, and their bodies are spared the indignities of putrefaction. Take Henri Jolicoeur. More than one hundred years after his death he is still a bewitching Adonis. But zombification does have its downsides. Henri has a master, a powerful Voodoo priest whose spells keep Henri, his teenage zombie sister, and five other poor souls in perpetual servitude. That is, until a hurricane devastates their New Orleans home and the zombies are evacuated to the Texas border town of El Paso. The curse is broken. They are free and intend to stay that way. But how can they pass for human when they don’t eat or sleep and they’re reeling from black magic withdrawal? If that isn’t enough, they have a traitor in their midst, their master is hot on their trail, and a mysterious stranger in black is watching. Enter Josie Cortez, a cowboy boots-wearing reporter at the local newspaper who desperately needs a good story to save her moribund career and get her editor off her back. One look at Henri and his weird little family and she knows she’s struck journalism gold. But strange things keep happening around Henri, things that remind Josie of her own tragic family history with black magic, a history that cost her her beloved mother and led Josie straight to the bottom of a bottle. Josie would rather forget all about that. Forgetting Henri, however, is easier said than done, even if falling for a man without a heartbeat could get her more than a broken heart. It could get her zombified. ~~ABOUT THE AUTHOR~~ When she first embarked in fiction writing, Maggie thought, Piece of cake. After all, she’d been a newspaper reporter for ten years; writing was her daily bread. But Zombified, her first novel about a band of sexy zombies, was anything but easy. The story wasn’t conveniently laid out for her at a press conference; it had to be coaxed out of her own imagination. Plot points resisted solving, descriptions meandered, and characters misbehaved. But just when things seemed bleakest, it happened. Maggie fell in love with it all: the zombies, the love story, and even the rituals of writing. Maggie likes her leading women flawed and her science fiction sexy. She went to school for journalism and political science. She lives in the United States. ~~CONNECT WITH THE AUTHOR~~ Praise for Zombified Mention zombies and the first thing you tend to think of is one of the creatures on The Walking Dead, not smokin’ hot gigolos. In her debut novel, Zombified, set in the devastation post-Hurricane Katrina, Maggie LaCroix has managed to create a world of attractive Creole revenants, forced to do the bidding of an evil voodoo master. When down-on-her-luck journalist Josie Cortez is assigned to cover the arrival of the Katrina refugees in her Texas town, she gets more than just a front-page story. Her attraction to the gorgeous man with the strange eyes, Henri Jolicoeur, leads her into the kind of danger she could never have imagined. Zombified is unique, fast-paced, and quite humorous in places. Just one look at that cover tells you this is not your usual zombie story. ~Andrea from Books, Baking and Other Objects of Beauty Goodreads page: Here are the trailers and buy links for the first two books: MORE - http://youtu.be/lPUYw1IPdws The Guardians - http://youtu.be/cld-yl_vvxs Ava Michaels is gifted, powerful, and — whether she likes it or not — part of a plot to take over the world. His world is torn apart again when he finds out he's nothing more than a story and given the option to protect a human female, Ciara, or die. Ciara hates Stryder for replacing her former Guardian. But she cannot deny the lust and connection that rocked through her every time they touch. She could deny it all she wanted, but she belonged to Stryder and when they find themselves thrown into a war bigger than them both she must choose between her reality bound heart and her fantasy bound soul to save them. Buy Link: http://smarturl.it/TornBetweenTwoWorlds Trailer: http://youtu.be/fUA0dPTh4eU Excerpt 1: “How did you do that?” No one from the books could touch her if she was paying attention to them. Her guard had to be down in order for them to be able to reach across the plane, even those attacking needed her to be distracted for a doorway to open and allow them through. Or she had to be over with them. But she had been staring right at him as he’d walking towards her. Shoot, she’d even been thinking about how much she didn’t want him to pick her up and locked her eyes with his. And then he’d been holding her and she was infuriated. Not hearing an answer or feeling him let go she looked up at him and a second gasp pushed past her lips. The intensity in his eyes was enough to kindle a small flame and he was looking at her. She thought about shifting her position and putting their bodies in better alignment to deal with the heat passing between them. Realizing what was happening as she began to shift her weight she just stopped struggling again. There was no way in hell her body was doing this just a few hours after saying goodbye to the longest relationship of her life and after Alcott was torn from her by this very man. That she could even not be completely irritated and disgusted by his presence annoyed her. Or maybe that was the explanation, why it was all happening. Loneliness. A low, raspy voice that sounded more like a growl brushed over her ear. “Sweetheart, the only thing I know is that if you move again, fuck if I don’t put you down, you and I are going to end up in that bed of yours.” She couldn’t do anything but stare into his eyes. She thought if she stared hard enough they were solid back, soulless and empty. Excerpt 2: His rant made sense. Sure he was ranting at her like some barbarian, but wasn't he kind of that? Sure the concept was he was more than a demon, more than a solider cursed to do the bidding of heaven and hell to stop the apocalypse from coming too soon, But he was still a man bred for war. She found herself watching him as he spoke, staring at the lines on his face, at the intensity radiating out of his eyes at her and she sure as heck hadn't ignored the huge bulge in his pants when he moved the pillow to throw the sweatshirt at her. When he finished talking at her she narrowed her eyes, at herself for how she was undressing him and with her eyes and jumping into bed with him in her mind. This couldn't keep happening. Would it be happening if she was with Derrick? She had a feeling the answer was yes. She didn't feel in control of her emotions towards him, whether she wanted to admit them or not. "I would love to say thank you for the apology but it would appear you are readily slipping into the barbarian that the author of your novel would have me believe you and your brothers are not." He looked at her, opened his mouth and closed it. "Clearly whoever this epic man is that explains the rules to you all is wrong. I was with Alcott for eleven years with no more than a teens crush on the man. Sex does not have to be apart of the equation. Alcott never minded so if you're going to perhaps I can find another Guardian, a female warrior must exist that I can connect with." He had walked over to her and her eyes had latched onto the bulge behind his zipper, and it had nothing to do with the fact that it was eye level with her. "Sweetheart in case you missed it Alcott is gone. Whatever you two were doing wasn't right. Newsflash." He must have realized where she was looking because he chuckled, a low and sensual sound that had the hair on her arms rising as well as her temperature. "For being so disgusted and annoyed with me you have yielded to me quite sensually and if the look of hunger in your eyes is any indication you're not so immune. "His hand went to his zipper." I had intention of not doing the opposite of this but if you're going to look at me like that you better finish the job." She swallowed at his words and somehow managed to shake her head no. She reached out and placed her hand over his."I'm a female, not dead. You're the playboy the book made you out to be, I can't help it. But I am not going there." She rose and grabbed a photo of her and Derrick off the nightstand. "I've done wrong choosing men before with him, he was a wonderful guy but not the right one for me. So excuse me if I don't immediately bow down to want my hormones want.” His smirk made her want to punch him in the face. "If that is what you wish to think I will leave you to your delusions for now. But we do need to discuss this and honestly woman if I have to say it again you're going to dislike me more than you already do." Her laughter bubbled out before she could stop it. Full flown hysteria that made absolutely no sense. A week had passed and her entire life had flip flopped upside and here she was clutching her stomach and dying of laughter. She couldn't open her mouth long enough to apologize or her eyes long enough to see through the tears. "I come from a family of nitwits and I fail to see the humor in the threat offered to you by a horsemen's second." She was trying to wipe the tears from her eyes and catch her breath at the same time. Unsuccessful attempts occurred for about three more minutes until she was finally calm. I pass by two guys, who are already half-drunk and gawking at my breasts, before I hit the relative safety of the bar area. “What do you want to drink?” Cali yells over the loud Top Forty music. “Would I look too conspicuous just holding a glass of water?” Cali purses her lips at me. I tell her she looks like a duck when she does that but it doesn’t stop her. “I’ll get you a beer. You don’t have to drink it but I don’t want you to embarrass me or yourself.” “Yes, Daffy,” I tease. “I do not have duck lips,” she insists. “You do when you pucker them like that.” “I think you’re on crack.” “Just get the beer.” She waves in order to get the bartender’s attention but no such luck. He’s busy with a group of girls at the other end of the bar. “Hey, Babe.” An arm reaches over Cali’s shoulder. “I wasn’t sure I’d see you tonight.” David nods in my direction. “What’s up?” He never addresses me by my name even though he’s been hooking up with Cali for over a year and I’ve seen him dozens of times. David is the kind of guy I always hated in high school. His family has money and he’s never had to work a day in his life for anything. Cars, clothes, expensive vacations, you name it, and his parents have handed it to him on a silver platter. As a result he has a sense of entitlement that knows no bounds. No doubt that’s why he feels like he can treat Cali any way he pleases and she just keeps coming back for more. He runs his fingers through his short brown hair. I’m not sure whether it’s a nervous habit or if he thinks that his fingers are like some kind of comb but he does it all the time. David is a good-looking guy in a frat-boy kind of way. Cali says he played baseball in high school and he looks like he probably still plays sports. He’s not huge but he’s definitely in good shape. Cali met David at a frat party. Even though she’s never set foot in a college class she’s spent a lot of time at college parties. David likes to brag about the fact that he’s a business major. I don’t see what the big deal is though. I feel like business is a degree for people who don’t really know what they want to do with their lives. Not that I have any room to talk. Apparently I earned a degree for people who don’t really want a job. Before I know it, Cali and David have disappeared somewhere and I’m alone at the bar. I didn’t even want to come here in the first place. I have a choice. I can leave or I can order a drink. After the day I’ve had a drink is actually starting to sound appealing. As soon as the DJ starts mixing, nearly everyone moves to the dance floor. The bar area is now pretty empty except for a young woman seated at the far end. She glances up at me when I approach and gives me the faintest of smiles. She’s an attractive blonde with stunning ocean blue eyes. She’s the definition of a blonde bombshell. She’s got curves that would give Marilyn Monroe a run for her money. I order a Crantini and the bartender wastes no time filling my order. “Tough day?” the blonde asks. I nod. “Have a seat.” She waves to the stool next to her. “Thanks.” I climb onto the stool and take a sip of my drink. It’s strong and I cough a little as it goes down. “Russ likes to make them strong.” She laughs. “Maybe he thinks he’ll get lucky at the end of the night.” The bartender looks like he’s in his mid-thirties and kind of rough. He’s completely bald and built like a brick house. Definitely someone I would want to have on my side if a fight broke out. “Are you waiting for someone?” I ask. She looks a little too dressed up for the place we’re in. It’s mostly a denim crowd and she’s in a little black dress and pumps. “You could say that.” I nod. A cryptic response but I get the impression that she’s not going to say much more about who she’s waiting for. “So what’s your story?” she asks. I laugh. “Do I look like I have a story?” “You definitely look like you have a story.” “You’ve probably heard it millions times before.” She glances at her watch. I can’t help but notice it’s a gorgeous Rolex. The blonde doesn’t look that much older than me. I doubt she’s even twenty-five. It makes me wonder how she can afford such an expensive watch. When I look at her more closely, I notice she’s also wearing a diamond tennis bracelet and huge diamond stud earrings. Also very expensive. Maybe she’s like David and has a generous daddy with lots of money. “I’ve got a few minutes before my friend gets here. Tell me this story I’ve heard a million times before.” I take another sip of my drink. She’s right. Russ does like to make them strong. “I recently graduated from art school. I have a fine arts degree but no professional job and no prospects. My student loans are set to go into repayment and I have no way to pay them. I’m barely making ends meet on my salary busting my ass at the local coffee shop. Pathetic, right?” She shakes her head. “It’s not pathetic but you’re right. It’s a story I’ve heard a lot. Maybe not a million times. Half a million tops.” We both laugh. It feels good to laugh about it. At least for one night. She reaches into her purse, a pricey Coach bag, and pulls out a business card. I expect her to hand it to me but she places it on the bar between us instead. “I don’t do this very often but I feel bad for you so I’m making an exception.” She points to the card. “You can pick it up if you want to, after I tell you what it’s about. Or you can leave it on the bar. It’s completely up to you.” My curiosity is definitely piqued. When I glance down at the card I notice it only has two words: The Club followed by a phone number. “What’s The Club?” “It’s a kind of dating service.” I frown. “Do I look like need a date?” “No, but you said you need money. This is a special kind of dating service for extremely wealthy men.” I assume that’s how she got her Rolex and other jewelry but I don’t want to be rude. “Are you saying it’s kind of like having a sugar daddy?” She laughs. “That’s kind of an antiquated term but sort of. Most of the men in The Club are older and they have very specific tastes. Most of them want younger women but more importantly, they want women who will be there whenever and however they want.” I gulp. Then I whisper. “Are you talking about prostitution?” She gives me a little smile. “Prostitution implies that you’re with multiple men and they’re paying you for sex. It’s not like that. It’s more like you’re being paid to be one man’s mistress.” “Are they married?” She laughs. “Some are. Some aren’t. Does it matter?” “I think it would to me.” “Why?” It’s a good question. I’m not married. He’d be the one doing the cheating. “Do you mind if I ask how much money you’re talking about?” “That’s negotiable between you and the man who selects you. It’s called an arrangement. You can negotiate any sort of arrangement you want.” “Could you give me a ballpark figure?” “Usually between three and five thousand a month.” My eyes grow wide at the thought of that kind of money. My ten dollars an hour at the coffee shop, even with overtime and tips, doesn’t even come close to that. “And that doesn’t include all of the perks. A lot of the men like to provide their girlfriends with generous gifts in addition to their arrangement.” “You said a lot of the guys are older. How old?” An image of a geriatric using a walker crosses my mind. I’m not sure I’d be able to have sex with someone that old, if he could still even have sex. “The guy I have an arrangement with is fifty-four.” That’s ten years older than my dad. I can feel my stomach start to knot. Am I really considering getting involved with some kind of club and being paid to have sex with a guy who could be older than my father? The blonde leans in close. “Don’t let his age fool you. He can still perform in bed. And I only have to see him two days a week for a few hours. And my arrangement is non-exclusive. He doesn’t mind if I date other guys.” “I don’t really date that much,” I confess. “That’s even better. There are a lot of guys who want exclusive arrangements. Not as many girls go in for that.” I stare at the business card for a few seconds. Is this something I’m actually considering? I’m just not sure. There’s no doubt that I need the money but I’m not sure about having sex with someone I don’t even know…for money. “It’s really not that bad,” she insists. “I wasn’t sure at first either but you get used to it. And Alex can be a really sweet guy.” She makes a point of pushing the business card a little closer to me. “At least meet with Claudia. You can always back out if a guy selects you and you don’t like him.” I pass my hand over the card and hesitate for a moment. I feel like this is a pivotal moment. Like my whole life could change just by picking up the card. I take in a deep breath then grab the card from the bar. Now that it’s actually in my hand I feel like calling the phone number is inevitable.Dream Cast Jae Rothko (Alexander Skarsgård) Rose Collins (Zoey Deutch) Cali Gibson (Emily Browning) Joey Rocco “Rocky” (Thomas McDonell) December Reynolds (Teresa Palmer) Playlist for Black Dog Nights Black Dog (Led Zeppelin) Bittersweet Symphony (The Verve) Broken (Seether) (Bang a Gong) Get it On (T. As a passionate vegetarian and animal activist, he’s ecstatic that Tom is a kindred soul. He could never be with a carnivore. Unfortunately, Tommy isn’t really a vegetarian or animal activist. He never said he was either, he just didn’t eat meat when he was with Guy. And maybe he emptied his house of all meat and dairy products before inviting Guy over. In fact, Tommy’s family owns the most popular barbecue restaurant in town and if his family has their way, he’ll manage the new location. When Guy finds out that Tommy eats meat and his family owns a restaurant that is a monument to eating meat, he’s livid and doesn’t know if he wants anything else to do with Tommy. But then Guy’s life gets crazy –his dad’s paranoia blossoms into violent dementia, he gets arrested for picketing a doggy mill, and then he winds up in even more legal trouble. When Tommy sticks by him through all his trouble and does everything he can to help him, Guy wonders if he’s been too militant and narrow-minded. Perhaps he can learn to live with people who have opposite views. Excerpt - From Sex Magic, by Carmilla Voiez - I knew I was in trouble when she strode across the room towards me, her hair pulled back into a ponytail so tight that it seemed to stretch her almond-shaped eyes even wider. I tried to look busy, picked up the phone and put it back down again with a grimace as she landed heavily in the chair on the other side of the desk and pouted. As her legs crossed one way then the other I saw a flash of stocking-tops. Keep calm, I told myself, don't get flustered again. You're a professional. “Lily.” Her voice was like a warm sunset, as the purple sky above and the crimson light below met and melted into each other. I nodded, swallowing hard. “I need you.” My flesh tingled and I couldn't believe my ears. “You...” “Bloody Hera has fucked off sick again and two important clients are coming at eight.” My stomach crashed to the floor, of course, she needed me to work late, that was all. I was a fool to think she needed anything else. She would be able to get everything she needed and more. Her clothes screamed wealth while her polished fingernails, glossy mouth and impossibly high stiletto heels promised a wild hunger that could not be tamed; this was a woman who was never left unsatisfied. I blushed. “I don't...” “You're just meeting and greeting. Bring them into the executive suite then wait outside. You can do that, can't you?” I gulped and my eyelids felt heavy. I nodded mechanically. I could do that, yes, but I could do so much more if she let me. “Get yourself something to eat and come back at seven.” “What should I wear?” She glared at me and I felt my body tighten under the weight of her stare. She shook her head. “That, nothing, who gives a shit? You'll be wearing a robe over the top of it anyway and they aren't here for you...” They would be here for her. I understood. I had known since a week after I started how Robin earned her living. If the furtive voices at the other end of the telephone line hadn't been evidence enough I had peeked into the executive suite once before. She had left the door ajar, probably thinking she was alone in the office and I couldn't resist. What I had seen still made me shiver. It wasn't simply terrifying, it was the promise of something greater, something so potent that it would raise a person out of their humdrum life and transform them, although into what I wasn't quite sure. “Seven,” I repeated, nodding. “Well hurry up then,” she growled. I grabbed my handbag and scurried away. Author Bios Nicola Jayne Taylor An horror erotica writer with a passion for the fire of imagination, and inspiration.
